Nikki Bodie
Nikki Bodie is a storyteller at heart and an airline captain by profession. Raised in South Carolina, she travels widely, collects antiques, and rarely meets a stranger she doesn’t turn into a friend. She is fascinated by the stories people carry, the histories objects keep, and whose version of events becomes the one everyone keeps telling.
She has been writing Southern Gothic since birth. She has video proof dating back to age six, when she wrote Baby, Shh! for her newborn brother, featuring a creepy Sandman. Even then, a bedtime story came with something lurking in it.
She writes across genres, and her fiction is difficult to shelve. Giving voice to the voiceless and questioning the stories the world accepts as truth remain at the heart of her work.
She founded NBodied Writing House to self-publish her work. Her debut novel, When Walls Weep, is expected in early 2027.
Forthcoming novels in various stages of becoming: some nearly finished, some rewriting themselves, some still shuffling around in the attic. Each one comes down the stairs when it’s ready.
